Facebook is quickly becoming far more than just a social network. The ability to build applications that integrate with Facebook make it perhaps one of the most useful tools for a business. I talked about this with Dean on the Words Cause Radio Show on BlogTalkRadio.com this morning.

For example, my business is going to launch an integration with Facebook that will provide customers will FB notifications when there is an update to their order. Our customers will also have further interactions and special promotions available on Facebook that we cannot necessarily provide through our own system. I predict many other businesses going down this route with Facebook rather than Myspace (which is bloated) or Twitter (which is not private).

Hillary announced that she plans to help finance the national debt with her personal funds, much like she’s financed her successful Presidential campaign! I’m not sure this is really the best idea, but the more I think about it… This is sounding pretty good. If she cares about our country this much, let her spend the money. Hillary 2008!

I just love Urban Dictionary! Just the other day, I was listening to a radio show on BlogTalkRadio.com, and they were talking about side pieces and the jumpoff. They were using the two terms practically interchangeably, which is incorrect. To be sure, I did a search on Urban Dictionary, and one could argue that they are the same things, but there are very technical differences between a side piece and a side piece.

But this blog isn’t about side pieces or the jumpoff. It’s about another piece of slang that I wasn’t aware of at all until this Sunday. I had the co-founder of Single Tease (no, it’s not a porn site), Tamera Lawrence, on the show talking about her great T-shirts that help break the ice between people. You can listen to a piece of it on Words Cause.

During the interview, she mentioned that the chest area of a woman is referred to as “the region”.

I had no idea!

I asked some women at work if they knew about “the region”, and they were familiar with this term for their chest. I went to Urban Dictionary, and “the region” was only defined as Northwest Indiana. So, I added a new definition for “the region”:

Tasteful female slang for the area of their body containing their boobs
She wore a T-shirt with text printed above The Region

All of humanity needs your help! Check out the page for “the region” on Urban Dictionary and click on the thumbs-up for the new definition! It is currently the third definition listed.

Some of our largest environmental problems have not been caused by who you might think. Often, environmentalists cite the Bush Administration or “capitalists” as causes for major environmental problems. Yet, the contributors to some of the largest environmental problems we face today are none other than environmentalists. They are environmentalists who jump on the band wagon of plastic vs. paper bags or electric cars or ethanol fuel.

Plastic saves trees but bio-degrades only after 900 years, is made from crude oil materials, and has amassed such a large pile of garbage that there is now a massive island of trash floating in the Pacific Ocean

The electric car is a mythological zero emission vehicle

And bio-fuels will lead to deforestation.

Don’t contribute to the problem, educate yourself by listening to my radio show this weekend. Dean and I have some great guests on the show, and we’ll be talking about environmentalists who damage the environment.

I’m trying to write some blogs this afternoon, and I’m using Internet Explorer for some reason. I’m not sure why. Perhaps it is because I had it open instead of my preferred browser: Flock (a Mozilla derivative). Tabbing between web pages and applications is painstakingly slow. Even typing is starting to slow down.

I have a really great radio show scheduled for tomorrow morning, and it is taking 20 minutes to post the announcement because my browser is running so slow! My WYSIWYG editor in WordPress is going cookoo. And to top things off, this browser doesn’t even have a built-in spell checker.

Internet Explorer is taking up 178MB of RAM and counting! Luckily, I’ve been able to get my blogs finished and can now enjoy the sweet sensation of closing this horrid browser. What? IE is not your default browser, would you like to make it your default browser? Perhaps when hell freezes over!

On Earth Day, I was able to get a brief moment with George Bush to Interview him about his new environmental plan. I’ll be airing it on my Radio Show tomorrow on BlogTalkRadio.com. Of course, the show is one hour long and the interview was only about 2 1/2 minutes, so I need to make sure that I have something else on the show. But I really do have an Interview with George Bush about his environmental plan that you don’t want to miss.

I know, the pervs were probably expecting some pictures of scantily clad women. For that, you should go here. For the rest of you, Dean and I had four incredibly amazing women on the Dean and Jared Words Cause Radio Show yesterday.

Laura and Lori have teamed up to provide amazing technological advancements in the health care industry.

Marianne quit a cushy job of 16 years to start her own business.

Rebekah is a mother of three boys, a wife of 17 years to a veteran, and the founder of more than half a dozen resources for health information.

How do they all do it? Click here to read a little bit more information about Laura, Lori, Marianne, and Rebekah.

What inspired them to go beyond their comfort zones? Listen to the Dean and Jared Words Cause Radio Show to find out!

I’ve been spending a lot of time researching PPC search engine Internet marketing techniques over the last several months. The truth is that I’ve dabbled in Internet marketing for years, but I was never part of an hundred million dollar Internet marketing campaign. Print, on the other hand… Print, I’ve generated more than $60 million from print marketing over the last 3 and a half years. Much of that print has driven Internet results, which means that I need to know enough about Internet marketing to be dangerous!

One of the things I love about my side job as a radio host for the WordsCause Radio Show on BlogTalkRadio.com is that I get to interview great people! This Saturday, I get to interview the guy behind the very successful Internet marketing campaigns of Jdate, True.com, and several other successful Internet companies in highly competitive fields: Patrick Thona.

Patrick has been working in the Internet marketing business for many years and has many successes under his belt with both PPC and organic traffic. His latest endeavor is an online petition website. He’ll be sharing some simple, yet powerful, secrets to his trade that we’ll all be able to put to use in our own online marketing efforts. Catch the Internet Talk Radio broadcast on BlogTalkRadio.com this Saturday at 10AM Pacific.

Complex problems require simple solutions!

Many point to alternative energy sources as a way to combat rising energy prices. While this will help get us half way there, it won’t solve the problem quickly. To find the solution to the American energy crisis, we need to borrow a page from one of our Founding Father and the creator of what is considered today the Republican Party. Yes, a Republican!

Borrowing ideas from one of our greatest Founding Fathers, Alexander Hamilton, I’ve devised a long-term plan that would stimulate our economy in the short-term and end our reliance on any foreign energy resources. The best part is that just about any government in the world could implement a similar plan, giving us something else to fight about ūüėõ

If you are feeling dangerous, you can read my idea on my new website WordsCause.com. And don’t forget to checkout the weekly WordsCause radio show hosted by yours truly and my great friend Dean this Saturday at 10AM!
