Kobe Bryant and Laker fans will say that it was inevitable from the beginning of the season. They just might be right. Looking back at the season and the players, the youthful Lakers might not be what one would expect to see in the NBA finals. Outside of Kobe and Fisher there really isn’t massive experience on the Lakers bench. Unless you consider Phil Jackson (one of the greatest coaches of the game). This is the first year since he got to Los Angeles that Jackson hasn’t been getting hyped, and perhaps that allowed him to relax a little an Zen up the Lakers.
The Lakers are back in the NBA Finals to face… likely the Boston Celtics in an old-school NBA Finals. It seems like everything is going 80s retro these days, so why not the NBA. While I certainly can do without the music of the 80s, I’m very interested in an 80s style NBA Finals. I’m sure there are going to be cries in Boston of “Beat LA” during game 7 (Yes, Detroit is likely taking this one back to Boston).
It’s going to be classic East Coast v West Coast. Biggie v Tupac. Uptight Bostonians v stoned Angelians. Clam Chowder v Avocado Salads. William Shatner v Jack Nicholson. Expect sales to go down at Boston Markets across Southern California.
I was reading this article about the Dumb Dolphins today. I could help but laugh. First, when Tony Soprano… err, Sparano babbled forth his incoherent gibberish, I laughed. You’ll really have to read the article to see what I’m talking about. I couldn’t make any sense of it. The fact that Jason Cole, from Yahoo!, could make sense of it was amazing. Hats off too him!
Somehow, the Dullfins are making a great case for getting Jason Taylor less money… Well, at least that’s what Jason Cole is thinking. I’m sure there are others who are thinking that in the industry as well. The only problem is that Jason Taylor is exactly what the NFL and teams need. Rather than hiring thugs like some other teams, any team that picks up Jason Taylor will benefit tremendously.
Will Taylor go for less because of the intelligence lacking comments from the Dullfins? Not likely. Any team will benefit greatly from picking up Taylor. He’s worth more money because he’s not just a player in a football game. He’s a player in the game of the NFL.
The NFL is not only about football. It’s about honor, reputation, community, sportsmanship, and character. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to look no further than New Orleans two seasons ago.
Hillary announced that she plans to help finance the national debt with her personal funds, much like she’s financed her successful Presidential campaign! I’m not sure this is really the best idea, but the more I think about it… This is sounding pretty good. If she cares about our country this much, let her spend the money. Hillary 2008!
On Earth Day, I was able to get a brief moment with George Bush to Interview him about his new environmental plan. I’ll be airing it on my Radio Show tomorrow on BlogTalkRadio.com. Of course, the show is one hour long and the interview was only about 2 1/2 minutes, so I need to make sure that I have something else on the show. But I really do have an Interview with George Bush about his environmental plan that you don’t want to miss.

I was joking around about being a redneck model for a new pair of binoculars by Spion. I’ve got my fishing jacket. I’ve got my red Snap-on baseball cap. I’ve got my… Ladybug?
I’ve been a HUGE fan of LOL Cat for a loooooooong time. I post them on people’s Myspace profiles and vote regularly. Today, my friend Ken dropped off page 90 of the latest SkyMall, and I had to make my own LOL Cat!!! And it ends up being a Ceiling cat at that!

In a move that’s straight out of the “DOH!” files, Ron Paul’s minions have been showering the Internet (and freeway overpasses) with root of all EVOL. The idea was to share the “love” of Ron Paul’s R”evol”ution.I’m sure the intentions were good by his campaigners. But you know what they say about good intentions: The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. Wait! Hell also happens to be where EVOL comes from now.
Isn’t that special? 😛
