In a move that’s straight out of the “DOH!” files, Ron Paul’s minions have been showering the Internet (and freeway overpasses) with root of all EVOL. The idea was to share the “love” of Ron Paul’s R”evol”ution.I’m sure the intentions were good by his campaigners. But you know what they say about good intentions: The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. Wait! Hell also happens to be where EVOL comes from now.
Isn’t that special? 😛
On BlogTalkRadio.com. Pardon the first 20 seconds… I had some technical difficulties 😀
Vadim tells us about his move from the Ukraine to America and the horifying experience of moving around. Then he talks about the coolest products in the world!

I spent a little bit of time with my friend Vadim this Saturday. I pulled out my PMP (Personal Media Player) that I purchased from the deal-a-day website StrongIdea. This thing has been half way around the world and back. I took it on my trip to New Zealand last September. I’ve taken it to a couple of other spots. This PMP has seen a lot in the world!
But nothing could prepare it (or me) for this prime time with Vadim and the Digital Drum set I purchased for my nephew last Christmas. I liked it so much that I had to get one for myself. Now, Vadim gets his first crack at being a virtual Tommy Lee. Enjoy…
I don’t think Tommy has anything to be worried about. If you want a deal on one, visit Gadget Universe and place the order with the source code EM070118. And if you couldn’t bare to watch the video through to the end, you missed all the cool features of the item, such as a metronome, learning feature with flashing lights, different songs, changing the tempo, foot pedals, different rhythms, reverbs, and more. So, go back and watch the video all they way through again 😀

Yesterday, I posted about the Natural Product Expo West and mentioned the Think Products Fashion show. I finally got around to uploading some of the videos. I’ll get to that in a minute. First, I want to share with you an allergy experience of epic proportions. I was helping a friend with her job application yesterday. She’s applying for a full-time position at a college, and there is a lot to put together for the application. I offered to assist her in putting everything together, proofing the documents, etc.
She has a cat, and while I am typically not bad with cats… Well, as I was sitting there reading her resume, my eyes started to well up. My throat began to tighten up. It was one of the most intense allergy attacks I’ve ever had. I could feel myself going downhill fast. Sinus Buster to the rescue. I has picked up a bottle of this homeopathic nasal spray while at the Natural Product Expo earlier in the day. I’ll admit that it was a punch at first. I was stunned! But within minutes, I was completely cleared up! My eyes stopped itching. My throat went back to normal. Sinus Buster definitely did the job.
They even had a Stop Smoking formula… Maybe I’ll get that for this same friend who I was helping with her job application. She’s been looking for something to help her stop smoking for a while.
Here are a couple samples of the fun to be had at the show (more will be available at my wordpress blog shortly)… Enjoy

Fashion Shows are a ton o’ fun! My friend Jeffrey Schiller from The Gadget Panel invited me to join him at the Natural Product Expo West. I had the privilege of seeing two runway shows in as many weeks. The one this weekend the Think Products Fashion Show. Here are a few videos. I’ll post some more when I get them uploaded. Maybe some pictures are on the way too!
I had some camera focus problems
Last night was certainly an unexpected series of events. I received a phone call from the agent for April Scott (I blogged about her at the GBK Oscar event) to talk about a couple of things. He mentioned that April was hosting a modeling show for Warning Models at a location in Beverly Hills. Obviously, I’m not going to say no.
He emails me the location and tells me I’m on the guest list for April and to bring a friend. Well, my good friend (and former Art Director for Gadget Universe), Carlos comes to mind. Let me tell you, grown men can cry from more than just getting kicked in the privates. We grabbed dinner and then hurried over to the show because we were running a little late.
Uh oh! Filled to capacity. Uh, we’re on the list. “Everyone out here is on the list, you aren’t getting in until they finish the show.” Sorry, I was here for the show. I call Julian, April’s Agent. A few minutes later, I’m in the show. Here are few videos I snapped with my phone. I really need a higher quality camera on my phone!
At this point, you are probably thinking, “What does this have to do with The Simpsons?” Well, after the show was over, I congratulated Julian on the show and the models. April was talking with a guy named David, who happens to be one of the creators of The Simpsons. He was there with a guy named Matt, which everyone who watches the Simpsons will know is the main name on the Simpsons.
I got to congratulate David on the success of the show that launched the Fox Network. He shared a funny saying that they’ve had about Fox: “It’s the house that Bart built.” It was nice to reminisce with David on the days when The Simpsons was a short during the Tracey Ullman show. He was another pleasant surprise in Hollywood, as he was really a great guy and very easy to talk with. Given that he helped start the most successful animated television show of all time, he had no massive ego to speak of. He also thanked me for my congratulations to him on the show’s success and for getting the word “Doh” in the dictionary.
Both Carlos and I had a great time last night. I’m looking forward to the next adventure.
You can see more videos from the runway show at my youtube page.

First things first… Congratulations to Jennifer Hudson on winning Best Actress in a Supporting Role. She was so adorable when she won.
Then there was the Dreamgirls performance. It was a great performance. I couldn’t wait to see it because just two days earlier I had a chance to meet Keith Robinson at the GBK Oscar gift party. It is always great to get for me to get to see someone I’ve met perform. There is a special added value to it for me.
I nearly fell out of my seat when I saw the performance. Were my eyes playing tricks on me? Was I just wanting to see what I wanted to see? Well, what did I want to see anyway? It never would have occurred to me in my wildest dreams to be thinking was I was thinking at that moment.
Yes, I was thinking, this is a great performance. However, I couldn’t wait for the camera to cut back to a shot of Keith so I could see what watch he was wearing. The lighting was not the best for showing off a watch, but that beautiful watch captured every speck of light magnificently. Could it be?
Rewind to two days earlier. It’s Friday evening. I’m showcasing the greatest gadgets in the world to countless celebrities at the GBK Celebrity gift event. In walks Keith Robinson. He’s wearing a white jump suit with brilliant red stripes. “This man deserves a luxury watch,” I think to myself. I pull open the Steinhausen Marquise (featured in Skymall) with alligator band and ask him if he’d like to try it on. I explain that the watch requires no batteries (a benefit to the environment for those who weren’t surprised when “An Inconvenient Truth” won best song).
He places the Marquise on his wrist and looks at it. It’s a good looking watch. Shawn, the camera man, stars shooting pictures. I mention that the red band looks good with the red stripes on the suit. “The red band does work with the suit,” Mr. Robinson replies. I explain that the Marquise comes with a second band in black if he is going to be wearing a dark suit.
Fast forward back to Sunday night at the Oscars. Here comes Keith Robinson to center stage, left hand holding the mic to his face. “Patience little sister…” WAIT! Is that the same Steinhausen Marquise I had given him on Friday? It is unmistakably gold. His watch clearly has a black band, but remember that the Marquise I gave him came with second band in black. Show him again! I need to figure out if that is the Steinhausen Marquise. The camera only gave fleeting glimpses of Keith Robinson and his watch.
Today, I found the following youtube video of the Dreamgirls performance on dreamgirlsfans.blogspot.com
I’ve watched the part where it is the closeup on him and that beautiful watch. From what I can tell is was not the Steinhausen that I gave him on Friday. The Steinhausen Marquise has an unmistakable case which has the leather strap wrapping around the prong in the middle where the pin holds the two together. The watch that Mr. Robinson was wearing had two prongs on the outside of the strap.
Oh well. It would have been cool to have given an Academy Award Nominee the watch he wore during a performance on the show, but I will just have to settle for having given a great singer a beautiful watch that I’m sure he will enjoy for years to come. Who knows, maybe I’ll see him wearing it on another show soon!

I went to the Santa Barbara French Festival last year! It was a great experience. The crepes… I can’t wait to go this year just to eat the crepes and to hang out with the dogs. People bring their dogs to enjoy the festival. It’s a great time for everyone 😀
There is music, cabaret, art, you name it. And! You have a chance to win a trip to France. Hope to see you there!
