Apartheid Ain’t So Bad, Right?

This April 27 marked the 58th anniversary of one of the egregious moments in world history. It was the date that the South African government passed the Group Areas Act, implementing the most significant aspect of apartheid in South Africa. Less than two decades later, that same government passed an anti-terrorism Act.

Yes, this all took place long before most of us were born. When it happens abroad, we are shocked and appalled… Outraged! Yet, would we react the same if this happened at home?
